Bass Amp, miked with an AKG D112 mic.
We always record the bass both direct and amp miked.
In this setting we tried miking the larger woofer on the bottom (to mix with the direct),
but ended up miking just one of the 10" speakers and muting the direct signal...
It came out sounding fantastic!
We NEVER just slap a microphone up to an
instrument and go...
we try lots of things, to get THE BEST possible sound!
